A hands-on workshop for UK and international users of IR hyperspectral imaging/microscopy, THz spectroscopy and IR nanospectroscopy

This training course is a collaboration between Diamond Light Source (MIRIAM beamline B22), SOLEIL Synchrotron (SMIS beamline) and the University of Ljubljana. It aims to promote the QUASAR open-source software among the UK and international scientific research community.

Across three days, the hands-on workshop will help current, prospective, and potential users working on a wide spectrum of IR applications, including:

Biology and Medical imaging

Materials and Engineering microanalysis

Physical and Chemical Sciences

Cultural Heritage and Archaeology

Geology and Space Science

Nanoscience and Metamaterials

The goal is to provide comprehensive training on the use of QUASAR through interactive tutorials and real-world examples, drawn from IR microscopy (or Raman microspectroscopy) and imaging datasets — now including IR nanospectroscopy.

Venue: Diamond Light Source, Harwell Campus, Oxfordshire, UK
