DESCRIPTION:**From Light Absorption to Transport**\n\nWe are pleased to ann
 ounce a European workshop dedicated to exploring one-dimensional quantum s
 ystems\, bringing together theorists and experimentalists.\n\nSince the di
 scovery of the Tomonaga-Luttinger liquid in the early 1980s\, low-dimensio
 nal materials have provided a rich testing ground for theoretical predicti
 ons. In recent years\, the field has seen exciting progress across multipl
 e fronts. Notably\, there have been significant advances in the theory of 
 1D systems beyond the traditional linear-dispersion paradigm—often in co
 nnection with cold atom quantum simulators—as well as in time-resolved p
 ump-probe experiments and the synthesis of novel low-dimensional materials
 \, including those based on Moiré patterns.\n\nThis workshop aims to fost
 er dialogue across these and other emerging areas\, offering a platform fo
 r sharing insights\, building collaborations\, and identifying the key cha
 llenges and opportunities that lie ahead
